Bioluminescence Tour

Seeing bioluminescence is a show that does not seem out of this world, it is like being in a movie, people cannot believe what their eyes are seeing, it is like swimming in a starry sky, it sounds very strange but it is true. And we must take advantage of the fact that Costa Rica is one of the few countries where there is bioluminescence all year round.

What is bioluminescence?

In scientific words: Bioluminescence occurs when living organisms in seawater create this brilliant light, after a series of biochemical reactions involving an enzyme and luciferase, this amazing living organisms can see it in some waters of Costa Rica, and they are activated by movement, as more we move the water, more bioluminescence can be seen.
